We are seeking an experienced and dependable Banquet Cook to join our culinary team. Prepare and cook high-quality meals for banquets, weddings, conferences, and special events.
Execute banquet menus according to recipes, production sheets, and presentation standards.
Assist with food preparation for multiple events while maintaining quality and consistency.
Set up and stock workstations with all necessary ingredients and equipment.
Ensure food is prepared and served in a timely manner to meet event schedules.
Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary kitchen in accordance with health department regulations.
Properly label, date, rotate, and store food products.
Monitor food quality, portion control, and waste reduction.
Work closely with the Executive Chef, Kitchen Manager, and banquet team to ensure successful event execution.
Assist with receiving, stocking, and inventory as needed.
Follow all food safety and workplace safety procedures.
Previous banquet, restaurant, hotel, or catering cooking experience preferred.
Knowledge of food preparation techniques, knife skills, and commercial kitchen equipment.
Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
Excellent organizational and time management skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Flexible schedule with availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays based on event needs.
Current Washington State Food Worker Card (or ability to obtain upon hire).
Stand and walk for extended periods.
Lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
Frequently bend, reach, push, pull, and work in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
Safely operate commercial kitchen equipment.
