We are currently hiring a detail-oriented and organized
Goods Receiving Clerk to support warehouse operations by receiving and verifying incoming shipments, maintaining accurate inventory records, and ensuring the smooth flow of goods into the facility. This role is critical for maintaining product accuracy and supporting company-wide inventory integrity.
Key Responsibilities:
Receiving & Verification
- Unload and inspect all incoming shipments for damage or discrepancies
- Match packing slips and purchase orders to ensure shipment accuracy
- Confirm quantities and item descriptions; sign off on deliveries
- Document any issues and escalate discrepancies as needed
Inventory Management
- Update inventory systems with newly received goods
- Organize and store items in designated warehouse locations
- Assist with cycle counts and maintain appropriate stock levels
Communication & Record Keeping
- Communicate with vendors on shipment status, delays, or problems
- Maintain detailed records of all incoming shipments
- Assist with return processes and damaged goods reporting
General Duties
- Operate warehouse equipment including forklifts or hand trucks (if certified)
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area
- Follow safety procedures and perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED required
- Minimum 2 years of relevant warehouse or receiving experience preferred
- Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, physically active environment
- Experience using inventory management software and basic computer applications
- Effective communication and organizational skills
Certifications & Requirements:
- Valid driver's license or equivalent
- Forklift certification (or ability to obtain)
Physical & Work Environment Requirements:
- Must be able to lift/move materials and boxes regularly
- Ability to stand, walk, and perform manual tasks throughout the shift
- Visual ability including close, distance, color, and depth perception
- Exposure to warehouse environments with varying temperatures (hot, cold, humid)
- Occasional exposure to fumes, airborne particles, and moderate noise levels
- Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) such as safety glasses and foot protection may be required
