Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Veterinary Technician to join our veterinary team. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality animal care, assist veterinarians with medical procedures, and ensure the well-being of our animal patients. Responsibilities
- Assist veterinarians during examinations, surgeries, and diagnostic procedures, including X-ray imaging and laboratory testing.
- Perform animal restraint and handling using proper techniques to ensure safety for both animals and staff.
- Conduct animal catheterization, administer medications, and monitor anesthesia during procedures.
- Provide pet care including grooming, feeding, and maintaining cleanliness in kennels and treatment areas.
- Maintain accurate medical records and document treatments, observations, and laboratory results.
- Support laboratory functions such as sample collection, processing, and analysis.
- Assist with animal husbandry tasks including feeding, cleaning enclosures, and monitoring animal health status.
- Educate pet owners on animal care, including pet grooming, dog training, and basic pet health advice.
- Follow aseptic techniques to prevent infection during clinical procedures.
- Handle a variety of animals including dogs, cats, and equines with professionalism and compassion.
Requirements
- Previous kennel experience or veterinary technician experience preferred.
- Knowledge of veterinary terminology, animal physiology, anatomy, and pet care practices.
- Experience with animal restraint techniques and dog handling skills required.
- Familiarity with laboratory procedures, X-ray operation, dental terminology, and veterinary critical care is desirable.
- Ability to perform animal catheterization and maintain aseptic technique during procedures.
- Strong animal husbandry skills including pet grooming and basic training techniques.
- Excellent communication skills for interacting with pet owners and team members.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Must have a genuine passion for animal welfare and a commitment to providing compassionate care.

Pay: $22.63 - $27.25 per hour
