Job Overview
we are seeking a dependable, reliable flexible caregiver who is available to work three 12 hour shifts per week and every other weekend.
Responsibilities
- Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support
- Monitor residents’ health and well-being through patient observation and vital signs checks
- Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs and assist with meal service
- Support residents with medication administration following care plans and HIPAA confidentiality standards
- Maintain a clean and safe environment by performing light cleaning duties and ensuring proper sanitation practices
- Observe and document changes in residents’ conditions, including memory care or dementia-related behaviors
- Use specialized equipment such as Hoyer lifts or resident’s personal assistive devices to ensure safe transfers and mobility
- Engage residents in social activities and provide companionship to promote mental and emotional well-being
Requirements
- Prior experience in home & community care, assisted living, nursing homes, or group home settings is highly desirable
- Knowledge of first aid, CPR, and basic patient monitoring techniques
- Familiarity with dementia care, Alzheimer’s care, hospice care, or working with individuals with developmental disabilities or autism is a plus
- Ability to perform heavy lifting and assist with resident transfers safely using appropriate equipment
- Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members and family members while respecting HIPAA guidelines
- Compassionate attitude with a genuine desire to improve residents’ quality of life
- Valid certifications in first aid and CPR are preferred but not mandatory; training can be provided if needed
