Job Description:
As a Packout/Cleaning Technician at Content Recovery Specialists (CRS), you will play a vital role in managing and handling the contents of homes affected by fire water damage or other tragedies. Your responsibilities will include the careful organization, cleaning, deodorizing, and restoration of items, ensuring they are ready for storage and transport. Additionally, you may be responsible for packout technician tasks, making this role dynamic and multifaceted.

Key Responsibilities:
Inventory Management:
· Utilize an iPad to record and track inventory of non-salvageable items.
· Use an iPad to document and track inventory of salvageable items.
· Oversee and verify inventory accuracy completed by other technicians.
· Ensure digital records are properly categorized, labeled, and uploaded.
Packing Preparation:
· Prepare the packing area for the safe and efficient packing of contents in homes or businesses.
· Carefully wrap small items and place them in appropriate boxes for transport.
· Wrap larger items in moving blankets and shrink wrap to ensure their safe transportation.
· Supervise technicians to ensure proper packing techniques and care are used.
· Ensure all materials and tools needed for packing are ready and available.
Loading and Unloading:
· Load packed contents into a moving van.
· Secure contents in the van to ensure their safety during transport.
· Unload contents at our facility and store them appropriately.
· Direct and assist team members in proper lifting, loading, and securing techniques.
· Communicate with warehouse staff for space planning and item placement.
· Ensure the moving team operates safely and professionally on-site.

Cleaning Technician Responsibilities (as needed):
· Maintain organization by box and item numbers during the cleaning process.
· Clean and deodorize contents to remove any contamination.
· Utilize an ozone room for the deodorization of items.
· Repack cleaned contents in new boxes for storage and transportation.
· Place contents in storage vaults/containers during reconstruction.
· Perform final cleaning tasks on construction projects, as required.
· Lead by example in cleanliness and quality of restoration work.
· Support coordination between cleaning and pack-out crews for seamless workflow.

Qualifications:
· Must be physically capable of lifting objects weighing up to 50 pounds.
· Able to meet the physical demands of long periods of standing and walking.
· Possess a valid driver's license.
· Reliable transportation to and from the warehouse.
· Must have clearance to work in the United States.
· A clean background check and the ability to pass a drug test are required for compliance with our client's requirements.
· Previous experience in restoration, moving, or contents handling preferred.
