We are currently seeking a full-time General Laborer to join our team. Attention to detail, accuracy, reliability, and excellent organizational skills are important qualifications for this position. As a strong communicator and self-starter, you will make it your mission to deliver safe and efficient operational excellence.
About the Role
As a General Laborer, you will perform an array of functions that may include sweeping, hauling trash, blowing up airbags, pre tripping trailers or containers, some basic mechanical work such as installing GPS units on containers and various other functions as assigned. .
Essential Functions:
Assist shipping and receiving as needed
Open containers, apply chalks to trailers, etc.
Communicate and cooperate with supervisors and coworkers
Maintains safe and clean work environment by keeping shelves, pallet area, and work
stations neat
Sweep, dust and mop.
Organize warehouse and work area for orderliness sand optimize space utilization at all times
Wear the proper safety equipment.
Minimum Education and Experience:
High School diploma or equivalent preferred,
1-2 yrs previous warehouse experience preferred,
Good communication, organizational, time management mathematical skills
Dependable and Reliable
Work Environment: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to moving mechanical items such as forklifts, trucks, etc.. and exposed to a variety of extreme weather conditions in and out of the warehouse.
Physical Demands:
Ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance
Must be able to lift and carry up to 30 lbs.
Regularly required to reach with hands and arms in a repetitive motion
Must be able to stand on their feet 2-3 hours at a time if required to perform essential
duties satisfactorily.
Must have good hand/eye coordination.
May be required to stretch, twist, sit and or walk
Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with ADA,
FMLA and other federal, state and local standards, including meeting qualitative and/or
quantitative productivity standards
Frequently required to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl
Occasionally required to sit and climb or balance
Specific vision abilities required for this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust and focus.
Position Type & Work Schedule: This is a full-time position, and hours of work and days are generally Monday through Friday, 7:00 am to 3:00 pm. Some weekend and overtime hours are required.
