Job Overview
As a Certified Medical Assistant, you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional patient care and supporting healthcare professionals in various medical settings. What you’ll do
- Assist healthcare providers with patient examinations and procedures, ensuring comfort and safety.
- Perform vital sign checks, intake assessments, and accurately document patient information in Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems.
- Administer medications and provide basic life support as needed, adhering to established protocols.
- Support dermatology, internal medicine, emergency medicine, and outpatient services by preparing patients for examinations and treatments.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care across various departments including inpatient units and surgical settings.
- Manage medical administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments, handling medical terminology, and processing ICD coding for insurance claims.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of clinical areas while adhering to safety standards.
Basic qualifications
- Certification as a Medical Assistant from an accredited program.
- Proficient knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology.
- Experience with EHR systems and basic computer skills for documentation purposes.
Preferred qualifications
- Background in urgent care or hospital medicine with exposure to Level I or Level II trauma centers.
- Familiarity with X-ray procedures and clinic experience in geriatrics or pediatric intensive care units (PICU).
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a positive attitude.
