The Vibe
At Vibrant Coffeehouse + Kitchen, we are in the relationship business—we just happen to sell incredible coffee and great food. In a fast-paced digital world, our mission is to bring back true, authentic human connection.
When you join our team, you aren’t just an employee; you’re a leader, a culture-setter, and a partner in our shared success. We believe in providing a rewarding workplace where people take ownership, feel deeply appreciated, and truly grow. Money isn’t everything if you’re unappreciated and miserable at work.
Your mission? Helping us build a "My Store, My Team" culture. You’ll partner directly with our Operations Director to keep the daily energy high, the operations smooth, and the experience unforgettable for our guests.
The Persona: Who You Are
- Excellent Character: You lead with honesty, respect, and kindness. You treat your team like family while maintaining clear, fair boundaries.
- Willingness to Learn: You don’t need to know everything on day one, but you must have a hunger to learn, execute, and grow both personally and professionally.
- Natural Leader: You love guiding people. You take pride in holding yourself accountable and have the confidence to gently but firmly hold others accountable, too.
- The Emotional Thermostat: You keep your cool and keep a smile on your face, even during a chaotic morning rush. Your team looks to you for calm, positive energy.
- Community Minded: You genuinely enjoy people. You’re excited to help us host in-store events, promote local gatherings, and make our space a true neighborhood hub.
What You’ll Actually Do
Instead of a million tiny tasks, your role boils down to three core areas:
- Lead the Floor: Lead by example from the front lines. You'll be behind the bar or in the kitchen slinging lattes, supporting the crew during peak hours, and showing the team what incredible customer service looks like.
- Own the Environment: Keep the shop pristine, welcoming, and organized. You'll handle the essential weekly rhythms like building the team schedule, keeping track of inventory/waste, and ensuring cash drops are secure.
- Develop the Team: Help onboard and train new baristas. You'll use straightforward tools—like weekly scorecards and team dashboards—to track how the store is doing, celebrate wins, and coach team members who need a hand.
- Bring the Energy: Help us plan, promote, and host fun community events (like family afternoons or local partnerships) to bring people through our doors.
The "Must-Haves"
- Experience: 2+ years of leadership experience (Shift Supervisor, Lead Barista, or Assistant Manager) in a fast-paced hospitality or retail environment.
- The Accountability Factor: You are comfortable managing peers and upholding team standards. You refuse to walk past a problem.
- Tech Comfortable: You can easily navigate modern POS systems, digital scheduling apps, and basic spreadsheets/dashboards.
- The Basics: High school diploma/GED, active Food Handlers cert (or willingness to get it right away), ability to lift 25 lbs, and open flexibility for mornings, weekends, and holidays.
What’s In It for You (The Gain)
- Financials: Competitive Base salary, depending on prior experience, plus a quarterly performance bonus tied directly to hitting clear, fair targets like labor control and waste reduction.
- Balance: A structured 5-day work week with predictable scheduling and accrued Paid Time Off (PTO) because we respect your time off the clock.
- Health: A monthly tax-free health insurance stipend (QSEHRA) and 24/7 telehealth access.
- The Path to Growth: Direct mentorship from ownership and the Operations Director. We want to teach you the business skills to eventually step into a multi-unit or Store Manager role as we grow.
- Perks: Free shift meals, premium daily coffee, and employee merchandise discounts.
