Quality Plumbing & Mechanical is a growing mechanical contracting company committed to delivering exceptional plumbing and mechanical services throughout the Kansas City metro area. We are seeking a dependable Warehouse Associate to support our field operations by maintaining inventory, organizing materials, and ensuring technicians have the supplies and equipment needed to serve our customers.
The Warehouse Associate plays a vital role in the day-to-day operations of our company. This position is responsible for receiving shipments, organizing inventory, preparing materials for jobs, maintaining warehouse cleanliness, and supporting field personnel with equipment and material needs.
- Receive, unload, inspect, and stock incoming materials and equipment.
- Organize and maintain warehouse inventory and storage areas.
- Pull and stage materials for plumbing and mechanical projects.
- Track inventory levels and report shortages or discrepancies.
- Load and unload company vehicles as needed.
- Assist technicians with material requests and deliveries.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized warehouse environment.
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment when authorized.
- Perform routine inventory counts and assist with inventory management.
- Follow all company safety policies and procedures.
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- Previous warehouse, construction, plumbing, HVAC, or mechanical industry experience preferred.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 75 pounds.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Dependable, punctual, and self-motivated.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record preferred.
- Forklift experience or certification is a plus.
- Basic computer and inventory management skills are beneficial.
- Frequent standing, walking, bending, lifting, and carrying materials.
- Ability to work in varying warehouse temperatures and conditions.
- Ability to safely handle plumbing and mechanical materials and equipment.
