Job Summary
This employee will be responsible for the cleanliness, upkeep and general maintenance of one or more facilities in Las Vegas, Nevada. Activities include general janitorial, simple repairs and maintenance of company equipment and facilities as well as other projects as assigned.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for daily janitorial duties throughout the facility (for example, floors, windows, restrooms, trash receptacles, offices break room, etc.) while following company procedures, guidelines, and methods, and utilizing approved chemicals, supplies, tools, and equipment.
- Responsible for ensuring that the outside of the building is clean and maintained to ensure that a positive perception of the company is maintained.
- Ensures a safe and clean environment for employees and visitors by performing regular maintenance on forklifts and other machinery, responding to spills, and disposing of cardboard, plastic, and trash in accordance with company procedures.
- Will be required to travel to multiple Speed Commerce locations in Las Vegas to assist with janitorial, maintenance and/or installation projects as required.
- Ensures the care, safety, and effective operation of the facility and reports any discrepancies to supervisor. Recognizes, avoids, and reports, and resolves conditions that could create accidents and injuries.
- Performs basic handyman projects like hanging signs, maintaining equipment, repairing and painting walls and/or doors, electrical wiring, plumbing, and other odd maintenance jobs. Construction experience a must.
- Other duties or activities as requested by management.
Skills
- Janitorial focus on cleanliness and operations safety.
- Proficient in basic maintenance skills such as wall repair and painting, equipment maintenance, electrical, plumbing, and general handyman skills.
- Experience working on electrical lifts at heights above 25 feet.
- Strong communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
- Ability to identify problem areas and present solutions.
- Highly organized and able to handle multiple projects at the same time.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $17.50 - $19.25 per hour
