What You'll Do (Your Impactful Role):
- Be the Welcoming & Professional Face of Our Practice: Lead by example in creating a warm, inviting, and professional atmosphere. Your impeccable presentation and communication will be the first impression, making patients feel understood, confident, and valued from their very first interaction – whether it’s a call, email, or their arrival at our modern office.
- Orchestrate a Seamless Patient Journey & Treatment Pathway: Masterfully manage our digital scheduling system, ensuring an optimized and efficient appointment flow. You'll be key in proactively scheduling patients for their complete treatment plans, minimizing wait times, and maximizing patient satisfaction and case completion.
- Champion Patient Education & Treatment Acceptance: Serve as a primary communication liaison and Treatment Coordinator for our patients. You will:
- Clearly and persuasively explain diagnosed treatment plans, emphasizing the benefits and value of proposed procedures.
- Confidently discuss financial estimates, insurance benefits, and various payment options with empathy and clarity, helping patients find ways to fit necessary care into their budgets.
- Address patient questions and concerns about treatments, building trust and alleviating anxieties to encourage case acceptance.
- Skillfully guide patients through their decision-making process, empowering them to make informed choices and commit to scheduling their recommended care.
- Follow up with patients regarding unscheduled treatment, reinforcing the importance of their oral health.
- Drive Operational Excellence with Technology: Leverage your expertise with leading dental practice management software (we use systems like Dentrix/Eaglesoft, and experience with other platforms like Epic is a fantastic plus!) to maintain pristine digital records, manage billing effectively, track treatment acceptance rates, and generate insights for continuous improvement.
- Innovate and Improve Practice Processes: Proactively identify opportunities to enhance our front office operations, streamline patient communication for treatment coordination, and implement best practices using modern tools and strategies to improve case acceptance and patient retention.
- Ensure Compliance & Best Practices: Uphold the highest standards of patient confidentiality (HIPAA) and guide the team in accurate dental coding and billing processes (including ICD-10 principles where relevant), ensuring financial discussions are handled with transparency and accuracy.
- Mentor & Lead a Collaborative Team: Train, support, and inspire front office team members, fostering a culture of collaboration, continuous learning, outstanding service, and effective patient communication.
- Support Clinical Excellence: Work closely with our dentists and clinical staff to understand treatment plans thoroughly, ensuring smooth administrative support and clear patient communication for all recommended care.
- Stay Ahead of the Curve: Keep your knowledge fresh on the latest dental terminology, treatment advancements, patient financing options, and effective communication and case presentation techniques.
