LaCore Christian Elementary School is seeking energetic, self- motivated teachers to join our team. Teachers must possess a love for children and education. We are looking for staff that will strive to meet the needs of students and families by providing positive experiences. An individual that is passionate about the well-being, education, and guidance of the students in their care will fit well on our team. The elementary teacher is responsible for creating a positive, engaging, and developmentally appropriate learning environment that supports the academic, social, emotional, and spiritual growth of students. The teacher will plan and implement lessons aligned with curriculum standards, assess student progress, and foster strong relationships with students, parents, and staff.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and deliver engaging lesson plans that align with state standards and school curriculum.
- Provide instruction in core subject areas, including reading, math, science, social studies, and language arts.
- Create a safe, structured, and nurturing classroom environment conducive to learning.
- Assess student performance regularly and maintain accurate academic records.
- Differentiate instruction to meet the needs of diverse learners.
- Establish classroom management procedures that promote respect, responsibility, and positive behavior.
- Communicate effectively with parents regarding student progress, behavior, and classroom activities.
- Collaborate with administrators, teachers, and support staff to support student success.
- Participate in faculty meetings, professional development, and school events.
- Integrate technology and innovative teaching strategies into daily instruction.
- Monitor and support students’ social and emotional development.
- Uphold school policies, procedures, and educational standards.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Education or a related field.
- Experience teaching elementary-aged students preferred.
- Strong classroom management and organizational skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to create engaging and inclusive learning experiences.
- Commitment to student growth and academic excellence.
- Strong Christian values and willingness to support the school’s mission.
- Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and move throughout the classroom for extended periods.
- Ability to lift up to 25 pounds when necessary.
Work Schedule:
Full-time, Monday through Friday, following the school calendar.
Job Types: Contract, Full-time
Pay: $38,000.00 - $41,000.00 per year
