Commercial Construction Estimator
Location: Barrington, IL
Salary: up to $180k DOE
We are recruiting on behalf of our client for an experienced Commercial Construction Estimator to join a growing construction team. This role is responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates for commercial ground-up and renovation projects while working closely with Project Managers, subcontractors, and vendors throughout the preconstruction process.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare detailed cost estimates, take-offs, and bid proposals.
- Review blueprints, specifications, and construction documents.
- Solicit and evaluate pricing from vendors and subcontractors.
- Collaborate with project teams, clients, architects, and engineers to develop and revise estimates.
- Track market labor and material costs.
- Maintain vendor and subcontractor relationships and databases.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 5 years of commercial estimating experience required.
- Experience with commercial ground-up and complex renovation projects.
- Strong ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
- Knowledge of contracts, subcontract documents, schedules, and local building codes.
- Excellent analytical, communication, and negotiation skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, Project, and Procore.
- Valid driver's license required.
Compensation: Competitive salary and benefits package based on experience.

Pay: $140,000.00 - $180,000.00 per year
