Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve a variety of non-alcoholic beverages, including coffee, tea, and specialty drinks, ensuring quality and presentation standards are met.
- Operate POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS to process retail sales transactions accurately and efficiently.
- Greet customers warmly, take orders, and provide excellent customer service to create a positive Bakery / Cafe experience.
- Handle cash transactions with precision, process payments, and give correct change while maintaining accurate cash handling procedures.
- Maintain cleanliness of the bakery / café area by regularly cleaning equipment, counters, tables, and food handling surfaces in accordance with food safety standards.
- Assist with food preparation tasks as needed, ensuring food safety protocols are followed during food handling and service.
- Manage beverage service stations efficiently during busy periods by practicing good time management and multitasking skills.
Qualifications
- Previous food service experience is preferred; barista experience is highly valued.
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS for processing sales is a plus.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and positively with guests.
- Basic math skills for processing cash transactions accurately and managing register operations.
- Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling procedures.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks during busy hours.
