Behavior Technician
Location: San Ramon, CA
Schedule: Part time
Pay: $28 to $33 per hour
bttr Living is hiring a compassionate and dependable Behavior Technician to support a friendly young adult with autism who communicates nonverbally.
The ideal candidate is patient, encouraging, and comfortable providing individualized support in the home and community. No RBT certification is required, but previous experience supporting individuals with autism, developmental disabilities, or behavioral needs is strongly preferred.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct one to one support
- Encourage communication, independence, and positive daily routines
- Follow the participant’s individualized support and behavior strategies
- Support community activities and skill building
- Maintain professional communication with the family and bttr team
- Complete accurate session documentation
- Promote dignity, safety, choice, and respect at all times
Qualifications
- Experience supporting individuals with autism or developmental disabilities is preferred
- Calm, patient, dependable, and professional
- Comfortable supporting a nonspeaking young adult
- Able to follow established support plans and family preferences
- Reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license
- Must complete required background checks and onboarding requirements
