The Engineering Technician provides technical engineering and data management support for disaster recovery, infrastructure restoration, and reconstruction projects for a federal agency. This position supports active and planned engineering projects through design development, drafting, database management, geospatial analysis, and engineering documentation.

Duty Station: Asheville, NC
Travel: Travel up to 75% (Travel required throughout the National Forests in North Carolina)
Duration: This role is anticipated to last 6 months, with the possibility of extension pending contract options.
Prepare engineering designs, technical drawings, construction plans, specifications, and supporting documentation for complex reconstruction and restoration projects.
Assist with planning, designing, and evaluating engineering solutions to improve the resilience, functionality, and sustainability of constructed features.
Coordinate engineering studies, field investigations, testing, and modeling activities to evaluate design feasibility and project performance.
Gather, organize, and maintain engineering records, corporate documentation, survey information, and project files.
Conduct multi-scale and multi-resource technical studies supporting planning, investigation, monitoring, and disaster recovery initiatives.
