American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Neuro Progressive Care Unit (NPCU) Stepdown position working night shifts at a Duke LifePoint hospital in Hickory, NC, requiring a minimum of 2 years of experience and an active NC or compact RN license.

Work on the Neuro Progressive Care Unit (NPCU), a 20-bed unit on the 5th floor of a 355-bed Duke LifePoint hospital

Patient population includes adult and geriatric patients with stable post-stroke, stable neuro surgery, telemetry, and general medical diagnoses
-
Specialty mix includes neuro medical strokes, neuro-orthopedic surgeries, overflow telemetry, and medical patients
-
Night shift: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM

Every other weekend required
-
No on-call requirements

Floating required to Medical, Telemetry, and Neuro units

EMR: Cerner
-
13-week contract

Active NC or compact RN license required

Minimum 2 years of RN experience required

AHA certifications required

Social Security number and date of birth required for consideration

Candidates must reside at least 60 miles from the facility to qualify for the travel rate

Provide progressive care nursing to neuro and telemetry patients in a facility that is home to the Frye Regional Brain Center, Heart Center, Cancer Center, and more

Candidates must not have worked as permanent staff at any LifePoint facility within the last 12 months

Candidates cannot be employed full-time elsewhere during the assignment

Travelers must begin on a designated facility orientation date
