Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Roofer to join our dynamic construction team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining various roofing systems on residential, commercial, and industrial buildings. Your expertise will ensure that roofs are durable, weather-resistant, and meet all safety standards. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work outdoors on diverse projects, utilizing your craftsmanship and attention to detail to deliver high-quality results that stand the test of time.
Responsibilities
- Install a variety of roofing materials including metal roofing, fiberglass, ensuring proper alignment and secure fastening.
- Repair and replace damaged or aging roofs by assessing the condition and executing effective restoration techniques.
- Read and interpret construction plans, blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to accurately execute roofing projects.
- Use hand tools, power tools, scaffolding, ladders, and safety harnesses safely while adhering to construction workplace safety regulations.
- Perform siding installation, stucco application, caulking, trim carpentry, masonry work, and other related exterior building tasks as needed.
- Conduct heavy lifting of materials and equipment while following proper safety protocols for outdoor work environments.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure projects are completed efficiently while maintaining high safety standards.
Requirements
- Proven construction experience with a focus on roofing installation and repair.
- Knowledge of roofing systems including metal roofing and single-ply membrane roofing techniques.
- Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings accurately.
- Familiarity with construction estimating processes and interpreting technical plans.
- Experience working outdoors in various weather conditions with a strong emphasis on safety protocol adherence.
- Skilled in the use of hand tools, power tools, scaffolding, ladders, and safety harnesses for elevated work.
- Strong understanding of construction workplace safety regulations related to roofing projects.
- Additional skills such as siding installation, stucco application, masonry, welding, tile laying or plumbing are considered advantageous.
