Job Overview
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented CNC Laser Operator to join our dynamic manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining CNC laser cutting machines to produce precision metal components. Duties
- Set up and operate CNC Laser machines to perform precision machining operations
- Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and specifications to determine machining operations
- Select and install appropriate tooling, fixtures, and attachments for each job
- Load raw materials into the machine and monitor the machining process
- Inspect finished parts using calipers, micrometers, and other measuring instruments
- Make adjustments to machine settings as needed to ensure accuracy and quality of the finished product
- Perform routine maintenance on machines to ensure proper functioning
- Capable of learning new operating and design software.
Experience
- Minimum of 2 years of experience operating CNC laser machines in a manufacturing environment
- Proficiency in blueprint reading and interpreting engineering drawings
- Strong knowledge of CNC laser programming and G-code
- Experience with sheet metal fabrication, laser cutting, plasma cutting, or similar processes is highly desirable. SolidWorks and AutoCAD experience.
- Familiarity with GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing)
- Ability to use precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges
Requirements
- Proven experience operating CNC laser cutting machines in a manufacturing or fabrication environment.
- Mechanical aptitude with experience working with tooling, press brake machines, CNC milling machines, CNC lathes, stamping presses, welding equipment, and fabrication tools.
- Basic math skills for measurements and calculations related to machining tolerances and material handling.
- Knowledge of quality control procedures using precision measuring instruments like micrometers and calipers.
- Warehouse experience including materials handling, packaging, assembly line work, and factory safety protocols.
- Valid forklift certification is preferred; hands-on experience with hand tools and assembly is a plus.
