Job Summary
Best Friends Home Care Agency is a compassionate, non-medical home care agency dedicated to helping seniors and individuals with disabilities remain safe, comfortable, and independent in their own homes. We are seeking dependable, caring, and professional caregivers who are passionate about making a difference in the lives of others.
Responsibilities
- Provide companionship and emotional support
- Assist with personal care, including bathing, dressing, and grooming
- Meal preparation and light housekeeping
- Medication reminders
- Assist with mobility and transfers
- Observe and report changes in the client's condition
- Maintain accurate documentation of services provided
- Maintain a clean and safe environment by performing light housekeeping tasks like cleaning, laundry, and organizing personal spaces
- Provide transportation assistance for medical appointments, errands, or community outings
- Document care activities accurately in accordance with care plans and communicate effectively with clients and team members
Experience
- At least 18 years of age
- Previous caregiving experience preferred (professional or family caregiving welcomed)
- CPR/First Aid Certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Valid California Driver's License and reliable transportation preferred
- Current auto insurance (if transporting clients)
- Ability to pass a background check
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Compassionate, dependable, patient, and professional
- Strong communication skills for client interaction and documentation in compliance with HIPAA standards
