Duties
- Load and unload shipments using forklifts, clamp trucks, pallet jacks, and other heavy equipment while adhering to safety protocols.
- Operate various material handling equipment such as RF scanners, cranes, and order pickers to facilitate efficient warehouse distribution.
- Pick, pack, and prepare orders for shipment with precision and attention to detail.
- Manage inventory levels through accurate tracking and documentation using inventory management systems.
- Conduct manual handling tasks including lifting heavy materials safely and efficiently throughout the yard.
- Maintain a clean, organized yard by stacking pallets, securing loads, and ensuring clear pathways for safe operations.
- Follow OSHA safety standards rigorously to promote a safe working environment for yourself and colleagues.
Qualifications
- Prior experience in warehouse operations or distribution centers is highly preferred.
- Proven ability to operate heavy equipment such as forklifts, cranes, clamp trucks, and pallet jacks.
- Strong understanding of inventory management processes and shipping & receiving procedures.
- Ability to perform manual handling tasks involving heavy lifting with proper technique.
- Familiarity with RF scanners, basic math skills for inventory counts, and order picking processes.
- Experience with warehouse supervisor roles or overseeing warehouse activities is a plus.
- Commitment to safety protocol adherence in accordance with OSHA standards.
