Duties
- Greet guests warmly, present menus confidently, and provide detailed descriptions of dishes and beverages.
- Take accurate orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS, ensuring clarity and completeness.
- Serve food and drinks promptly while maintaining high standards of presentation and sanitation.
- Upsell menu items and specials to enhance guest experience and increase sales opportunities.
- Manage tables efficiently by bussing, resetting, and assisting with food handling and sanitation protocols.
- Use reservation platforms like OpenTable to manage bookings seamlessly, ensuring optimal seating flow.
- Maintain excellent guest relations through attentive service, addressing questions or concerns proactively.
Experience
- Previous restaurant or food service experience is highly preferred, especially in fine dining or nightclub settings.
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is essential for order accuracy and efficiency.
- Strong knowledge of food safety standards, sanitation practices, and proper food handling procedures.
- Experience in upselling techniques, cash handling, cashiering, and basic math skills to manage transactions confidently.
- Proven ability to manage time effectively during busy shifts while maintaining exceptional customer service.
- Background in hospitality or guest services roles such as host/hostess or food runner is advantageous.
