Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and safety-conscious Forklift Operator to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating forklifts and other heavy equipment to facilitate the efficient movement of materials within our warehouse. Duties
- Operate forklifts, including cherry pickers and reach, to move materials throughout the warehouse.
- Perform order picking and ensure accurate loading and unloading of goods.
- Utilize warehouse management systems to track inventory and manage orders effectively.
- Assist in heavy lifting and materials handling as required.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area to promote safety and efficiency.
- Collaborate with team members to build pallets and prepare shipments for delivery.
- Conduct routine inspections of equipment to ensure safe operation.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Forklift Operator or in a similar role within a warehouse environment.
- Familiarity with warehouse management systems is preferred.
- Ability to operate heavy equipment safely, including order pickers and cranes.
- Strong physical stamina for heavy lifting and long hours on your feet.
- Excellent attention to detail with a commitment to safety protocols.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Prior experience in order picking and materials handling is an advantage.
