Duties
- Prepares patients for radiologic procedures by explaining the process and positioning them correctly to obtain optimal images.
- Operates X-rays following established procedures for patient care and safety.
- Ensure strict adherence to aseptic techniques and safety protocols to protect patients and staff during all procedures.
- Maintain detailed documentation of procedures, patient information, and technical findings in accordance with medical terminology standards.
- Conduct routine quality checks on imaging equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety compliance.
- Maintains patient exam rooms and assures rooms are stocked with necessary medical and radiologic supplies.
Requirements
- American Registry of Radiologic Technologist registration preferred.
- One year experience preferred.
- Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology relevant to diagnostic radiology.
- Hands-on experience with a variety of imaging modalities including X-ray and DEXA scan, sonography.
- Familiarity with aseptic technique and radiation safety standards to ensure patient and staff protection during imaging procedures.
- Ability to operate complex medical imaging equipment with precision and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills for patient interaction and interdisciplinary collaboration.
