We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Sous Chef who excels in managing high-volume kitchen operations while maintaining the highest standards of food safety, presentation, and taste. The ideal will have a strong background in food production and kitchen management, with experience in fine dining and catering environments. Duties
- Assist the Executive Chef in menu planning and development, ensuring creativity and seasonal relevance.
- Supervise kitchen staff, providing training and guidance to ensure efficient food preparation.
- Manage daily kitchen operations, including inventory control, food handling, and compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Coordinate meal assembly processes to maintain quality standards and presentation.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, adhering to food safety protocols.
- Monitor food costs and assist in inventory management to optimize resources.
- Participate in staff meetings to discuss menu changes, special events, and operational improvements.
- Step into leadership responsibilities when the Head Chef is off-site
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Sous Chef with 3+ years or in a similar role within the food industry.
- Strong culinary skills with a focus on fine dining experience.
- Knowledge of food safety standards and regulations.
- Experience in supervising and managing kitchen staff effectively.
- Ensures quality and high standards in meal presentation.
- Background in banquet service or catering is preferred.
- Excellent leadership abilities with strong team management skills.
- Proficiency in inventory management and control processes.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members and other departments.

Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $27.00 - $29.14 per hour
Expected hours: 20 – 30 per week
