Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Industrial Mechanic who will also serve as a primary company driver and customer-facing field representative.
This is not solely a shop mechanic position. Driving is a significant and essential part of the job. The employee will regularly operate company-owned, DOT-regulated vehicles that do not require a CDL to pick up and deliver motors, pumps, gearboxes, fans, and other industrial equipment. Most driving is performed within approximately a 60-mile radius, although occasional longer trips may be required.
Because this employee will frequently be the first company representative our customers meet, professionalism, dependability, safe driving, and clear communication are essential.
When not making pickups, deliveries, or assisting at customer locations, the employee will perform mechanical repairs and maintenance on AC/DC electric motors ranging from approximately 100 HP to 9,000 HP, as well as pumps, gearboxes, fans, and related industrial equipment.
Due to federal, state, local, and customer contract requirements, all employees must successfully complete:
- Motor vehicle record check
- Criminal background check
- Drug screening
- DOT physical examination

- Complete required driver inspection reports, delivery paperwork, bills of lading, and customer documentation.
- Serve as a professional front-line representative of the company while interacting with customers, vendors, and jobsite personnel.
- Communicate equipment information, delivery details, jobsite conditions, and customer concerns to the appropriate company personnel.
- Perform routine maintenance, inspection, troubleshooting, and repair of industrial machinery and equipment.
- Diagnose mechanical and electrical problems using equipment such as megohm meters, multimeters, laser-alignment tools, and micrometers.
- Perform repairs involving low- voltage equipment as qualified and assigned.
- Safely operate forklifts, cranes, hoists, and other material-handling equipment.
- Inspect and document maintenance activities, equipment condition, and completed repairs.
- Work independently following an initial training and familiarization period.
- Collaborate with team members to improve equipment reliability and repair quality.
- Maintain basic personal hand tools; specialty tools will be provided.
- Work overtime, weekends, or on-call assignments as needed.
