Duties
- Prepare and serve a variety of non-alcoholic beverages including coffee, tea, smoothies, and specialty drinks with precision and care.
- Operate POS system to process retail sales transactions efficiently and accurately.
- Provide exceptional customer service by greeting guests warmly, taking orders, answering questions, and ensuring their satisfaction throughout their visit.
- Maintain cleanliness of the café area, including food handling, beverage prep stations, and seating areas, adhering to food safety standards.
- Handle cash transactions accurately, process payments, give correct change, and balance registers at the end of shifts.
- Assist with food preparation tasks as needed, ensuring all items meet quality standards and food safety regulations.
- Support team members during busy periods by managing multiple responsibilities such as serving drinks, cleaning stations, and restocking supplies.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in food service or café environments is highly preferred; barista experience is a plus.
- Familiarity with POS systems for sales processing.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and positively with guests.
- Basic math skills for cash handling, retail math calculations, and transaction processing.
- Knowledge of food safety practices and proper food handling procedures.
- Ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Time management skills to prioritize tasks effectively during busy hours.
