Job Description
We are seeking a licensed Occupational Therapist (OT) to provide pediatric occupational therapy services for Early Intervention (birth–3) or school-age students across home, school, and community settings on Long Island. The Occupational Therapist will evaluate and treat children with developmental delays, sensory processing challenges, fine motor and visual-motor deficits, and functional skill needs. This role emphasizes practical, individualized interventions that support participation in daily routines, academic tasks, and age-appropriate activities.
The Occupational Therapist will collaborate with families, educators, service coordinators, and interdisciplinary team members to ensure consistent and effective service delivery across environments.
Responsibilities include:
Conduct occupational therapy evaluations and develop individualized treatment plans for EI and school-age students
Provide direct occupational therapy services in home-based EI and school-based or community settings
Address fine motor skills, sensory processing, self-care, play, and functional participation
Collaborate with families, teachers, and related service providers to support carryover of skills
Complete required documentation including evaluations, session notes, and progress reports
Provide consultation and strategies to caregivers and school staff as appropriate
Maintain ethical and professional standards in accordance with New York State and AOTA guidelines
Benefits
Pay: $67–$83 per hour (based on experience, setting, and certifications)
