We are a private Christian school (preschool-middle school) in Leesburg, VA. Our instruction focuses on integrating the arts, academics, and experiential learning in an enriching environment. JOB DESCRIPTION
The 3's academics preschool teacher is responsible for providing engaging learning opportunities, as well as loving care to students. The teacher will primarily teach introductory language arts (letter identification, sounds) and mathematics (number/shape recognition, counting). Curriculum would also include introductory science (weather, animals, life cycles) and social studies (community helpers, social skills). Hours are Monday – Friday, 8:30 am – 1:00 pm. If looking for more hours, this position could be combined with another position in the school. A degree in early education is preferred, but not required if candidate has equivalent experience.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Plan and implement lessons following the Scope & Sequence
Adapt lessons for student differentiation
Assess students’ strengths, weaknesses, and abilities
Communicate with parents and administrators about student progress
