What You'll Do
As a Caregiver Response Team Member, you'll provide high-quality, non-medical home care while supporting clients throughout our community. You will:
- Respond to urgent client care needs and caregiver absences.
- Remain available and ready for work during assigned hours
- Respond to calls or texts within 10 minutes
- Report to assigned shifts within approximately 1 hour(depending on location)
- Assist with new client admissions and start-of-care visits.
- Provide coverage for vacations, illnesses, and schedule changes.
- Help ensure every client receives the care they deserve—without interruption.
- Build relationships with a variety of clients while making a meaningful difference every day.
- Complete all assigned shifts un full unless otherwise approved
- Maintain clear, professional communication always
- Must be willing to provide care throughout the Roanoke coverage territory which includes Roanoke City and County, Botetourt County, Franklin County, Vinton, Salem and other surrounding areas.

What We're Looking For
We're looking for caregivers who are:
- Dependable and adaptable.
- Compassionate and client-focused.
- Comfortable working with a variety of clients and care needs.
- Able to respond to changing schedules and urgent staffing needs.
- Excellent communicators and team players.
Qualifications
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- Valid driver's license, your own reliable vehicle to drive to and from assignments, and proof of auto insurance.
- Ability to pass a criminal background check and drug screening.
- Willingness to work in homes with pets and/or smokers.
- PCA, CNA, NA, or equivalent caregiving experience preferred.
- Ability to provide all levels of care from minimum to maximum/total assistance
- Weekend availability required.
- Flexibility to accept assignments based on client needs.
Compensation & Benefits
- On-Call Rate: $15 per hour for the assigned on-call period provided they remain available, responsive, and accept assignments when offered.”
- Caregiver will be paid $17 per hour for any shift worked during the on call period. Weekend differential of one dollar more per hour for shifts worked.
- Mileage Reimbursement: Provided for travel exceeding 25 miles from home (when applicable)

- Repeatedly declining emergency assignments may impact stipend eligibility and/or program participation.
