Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) for a 13-week contract assignment in Albuquerque, NM. The PTA will work under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist to help patients recover from injuries, improve mobility, and manage pain through therapeutic exercises and rehabilitation programs.
Key Responsibilities
The Physical Therapist Assistant will assist in implementing treatment plans designed by the Physical Therapist, guide patients through therapeutic exercises, monitor patient progress, document treatments and outcomes, and help patients improve mobility, strength, and physical function. The PTA will also educate patients on proper exercise techniques and maintain accurate patient records while following facility policies and safety standards.
Requirements
- Active New Mexico PTA License
- Minimum 1 year of PTA experience preferred
- BLS Certification from the American Heart Association
- Strong communication and patient care skills
