Our client, a global leader in Commercial Real Estate and Facilities Management is seeking an HVAC/Mechanical Technician due to business growth in the Data Center practice. This full time role will work onsite in Ridgeville, SC, pays $37hr and seeks a candidate to work ROTATING SHIFTS on 3rd Shift – 4 then 3 - 12s Front half – Work S,M,Tu,W then off Th,F,Sa then Work S,M,Tu, then off W,Th,F,Sa – then Repeat = 7pm-7am AND 1st Shift – 4 then 3 - 12s Front half – Work S,M,Tu,W then off Th,F,Sa then Work S,M,Tu, then off W,Th,F,Sa – then Repeat = 7am-7pm. Training will take place on 1st shift hours for approximately 2-3 weeks. This role contains an ample vacation plan and a strong benefit package. ONCE THIS FACILITY IS FULLY STAFFED CANDIATES CAN SELECT 1ST OR 3RD SHIFT AS A CONSTANT.
The key to this role is utilization of HVAC/Mechanical skills to perform preventative maintenance and corrective repairs in a Data Center operation. The incumbent will:
- Respond to control room requests and troubleshoot HVAC-related issues.
- Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on commercial HVAC systems and associated equipment.
- Monitor and maintain flow control systems, pumps, valves, and related mechanical equipment.
- Conduct inspections to identify equipment issues and complete necessary repairs.
- Ensure HVAC systems operate safely, efficiently, and in compliance with company standards.
- Support equipment testing and ongoing maintenance activities.
- Document completed work and update maintenance records using basic computer systems.
- Follow all safety procedures while working in a mission-critical facility.
- Collaborate with fellow technicians to ensure reliable facility operations.
QUALIFICATIONS
- 2+ years of commercial HVAC experience.
- Strong knowledge of HVAC systems and equipment.
- Experience with flow control systems, pumps, and valves.
- Ability to troubleshoot mechanical and HVAC-related issues.
- Experience with Data Center equipment (Chiller/GEN/UPS/STS etc.)
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite of tools for documentation purposes
Preferred but not required
- Any Experience working in a Critical Facilities Environment (Data Center/Hospital/airport, etc)
- Any HVAC Certification
- Any Mechanical Certifications
- CFC Universal license
- EPA Certification
- Any Critical Facilities license
Pay: $36.00 - $37.90 per hour
