Security Officer Job Overview
We are hiring immediately for a Security Officer position. We are seeking a vigilant, reliable, and professional individual to safeguard our clients' property, personnel, and visitors. The ideal candidate is observant, calm under pressure, and capable of maintaining a strong security presence while enforcing site policies and procedures.
Applicants must have open availability, be available to interview immediately, and be ready to begin training as soon as possible.
Current Schedule
- Sunday through Tuesday: 4:00 PM – 12:00 AM
- Friday & Saturday: 4:00 PM – 12:00 AM
Additional hours and schedule adjustments may be available based on operational needs.
Responsibilities
- Patrol premises regularly to maintain order and establish a visible security presence
- Monitor and control access of vehicles and individuals entering the property
- Deter and remove trespassers, vandals, or individuals engaging in suspicious activity
- Lock and secure exits, doors, and windows as required
- Monitor surveillance cameras and security systems
- Investigate suspicious behavior and security concerns in accordance with company procedures
- Respond promptly to alarms, incidents, and emergencies
- Provide assistance to staff, residents, customers, and visitors when needed
- Observe, document, and report incidents accurately and professionally
- Complete daily activity reports, incident reports, and other required documentation
Requirements and Skills
- Valid Florida Class D Security License required
- Previous security experience preferred
- Strong understanding of security procedures and public safety practices
- Excellent observation and surveillance skills
- Professional communication and customer service abilities
- Proficiency in report writing and incident documentation
- Ability to remain calm and make sound decisions during emergencies
- Basic computer and technology skills
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Reliable transportation and dependable attendance
