As a Pet Sitter with M & N Pet/Home Services, you will provide exceptional in-home care for pets while their owners are away. Your role is to ensure each pet remains comfortable, safe and follows their normal daily routine. Pet sitters are trusted with both the care of beloved pets and the security of clients homes, making reliability, professionalism and attention to detail essential.
Responsibilities:
- Provide personalized care for dogs, cats, birds, reptiles, small animals, livestock and other household pets.
- Feed pets according to each client’s instructions.
- Refresh water bowls at every visit.
- Provide potty breaks, walks, exercise, enrichment and playtime.
- Administer medications (oral, topical, injections, etc.) after completing company training.
- Clean litter boxes, pick up pet waste and maintain clean feeding areas.
- Monitor pets for signs of illness, injury, stress or unusual behavior and report concerns immediately.
- Send detailed visit updates with photos after every visit.
- Bring in mail and packages, rotate lights, water plants and complete other agreed upon home care tasks.
- Secure all doors, windows, gates and alarm systems before leaving each visit.
- Maintain accurate visit records and arrive on time for every scheduled service.
- Follow all company policies, safety procedures, emergency protocols and confidentiality standards.
Qualifications:
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation and current auto insurance.
- Comfortable caring for pets of all breeds, sizes, ages and temperaments.
- Able to work independently and manage multiple daily appointments.
- Excellent communication, time management and organizational skills.
- Dependable, trustworthy and compassionate.
- Previous professional pet care experience is required, training will be provided.
Physical Requirements:
- Walk, stand, bend, kneel and lift up to 50 pounds as needed.
- Work indoors and outdoors in various weather conditions.
- Handle multiple visits throughout the DFW Metroplex.
- Safely manage energetic or large dogs using proper handling techniques.
Schedule:
- Flexible scheduling based on client bookings.
- Morning, midday, evening, weekend, holiday and occasional overnight availability may be required.
- Increased hours are available during holidays and peak vacation seasons.

Pay: $18.00 - $23.00 per hour
