TRCTalent is working alongside a leading firm that engineers and manufactures power generation packaging systems, rotating equipment packaging, fabrication, containerization, pump packaging, testing, and reconditioning services as they seek several full time Project Engineers. A project engineer will lead the successful execution of power systems projects from initial order receipt through final customer acceptance. This role serves as the central point of coordination between customers, sales, vendors, engineering teams, and operations to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and according to technical specifications.
The ideal candidate combines strong project management capabilities with a solid understanding of power generation equipment, electrical systems, and customer-facing project delivery. This individual will take ownership of multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining a strong focus on quality, communication, and customer satisfaction. Positions will be based in either Austell or Smyrna. Travel up to 50%
Key Responsibilities
- Manage power generation projects throughout the full project lifecycle.
- Review project scope, bill of materials, pricing, technical specifications, and contractual requirements upon project award.
- Develop and maintain project schedules to ensure milestone and delivery commitments are achieved.
- Coordinate activities among internal departments, customers, manufacturers, vendors, and subcontractors.
- Identify and proactively resolve project issues before they impact schedules or customer expectations.
- Review customer specifications and technical requirements for accuracy and compliance.
- Verify equipment selection and project documentation align with customer needs and project objectives.
- Support technical discussions with customers, suppliers, and internal stakeholders.
- Ensure equipment and solutions meet applicable engineering, operational, and safety requirements.
- Serve as the primary project contact for customers throughout execution.
- Manage submittal packages, approvals, equipment releases, and project communications.
- Coordinate procurement activities and issue purchase orders for equipment and services.
- Manage logistics, shipping schedules, and delivery coordination.
- Provide timely project updates and maintain strong customer relationships.
- Monitor project costs and maintain budget awareness throughout execution.
- Support project invoicing and documentation requirements.
- Assist with project closeout and final customer acceptance activities.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- 5+ years of project management, project engineering, or related experience within power generation, electrical systems, industrial equipment, or a comparable technical environment.
- Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or a related technical discipline.
