We are looking for a concrete finisher who knows how to work with fresh concrete from pour to final finish. Must have a clean driving record. This person should understand how to screed, bull float, edge, joint, hand finish, broom finish, and help manage the timing of the slab so the concrete comes out clean and professional. Decorative concrete experience is a big plus, especially stamped concrete, borders, color, texture, and sealing.
What the job involves:
- Help pour, spread, and level fresh concrete
- Screed and bull float slabs properly
- Edge, joint, and finish concrete by hand
- Apply broom finishes and other final textures
- Watch the concrete and know when to start each finishing step
- Help protect finished work from damage during curing
- Work on driveways, sidewalks, patios, steps, and similar flatwork
- Read grades, check slope, and help make sure water drains correctly
- Keep tools clean and job sites organized
- Work with the crew to keep jobs moving safely and efficiently
Decorative experience is a plus, including:
- Stamped concrete
- Picture frame borders
- Color hardener and release
- Decorative textures
- Sealing finished concrete
