Position: Paint Finishing Mechanical Engineer
Are you a highly skilled Mechanical Engineer with expertise in paint finishing systems? Do you have experience in designing and engineering spray booths, ovens, abatement systems, and phos/ecoat systems for industrial projects? If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you to join our clients team as a Paint Finishing Mechanical Engineer.
Key Responsibilities:

Act as a lead engineer for paint finishing projects, overseeing and coordinating all engineering activities.

Develop detailed mechanical sequences of operations for various mechanical systems.

Calculate and size equipment and utilities requirements for spray booths, ovens, abatement systems, and phos/ecoat systems.

Create technical equipment RFQs and subcontractor SOWs for procurement.

Conduct engineering calculations, design reviews, and flow diagrams.

Prepare technical specifications and scope of work for subcontract engineering.

Provide technical support to subcontractors and ensure compliance with project requirements.

Collaborate with project managers and teams to coordinate designs and resolve technical issues.

Inspect shop fabrication for conformance to design and quality standards.

Provide technical support during field installations and startup activities.
Requirements:

Paint Finishing Experience: Demonstrated experience as a lead engineer in designing paint finishing systems, specifically in spraybooths, ovens, abatement systems, and phos/ecoat systems.

Piping Systems and HVAC Engineering: Strong expertise in piping systems engineering and HVAC system engineering for industrial applications.

Lead Engineer Experience: Ability to act as a lead engineer for large industrial projects, providing technical guidance and supervision to other engineers.

Excellent Communication Skills: Effective verbal and written communication skills to coordinate with project teams, subcontractors, and clients.

Training and Mentoring: Capability to train and mentor junior engineers and conduct departmental training modules.
Education and Experience:

Bachelor of Science Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.

3-5 years of relevant engineering experience required.
Software Skills:

Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
