The New Product & Mechanical Design Engineer leads the mechanical design and development of new products and enhancements to existing products from concept through production. This role also provides engineering support for existing manufacturing processes and equipment, product documentation, supplier collaboration, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead new product design projects, including weekly meetings, timelines, open-item tracking, and cross-functional follow-up.

Develop mechanical designs for products and components, including circuit board packaging, lighting assemblies, assembly fixtures, gauges, and custom applications.

Create and maintain 3D CAD models, engineering drawings, and manufacturing files using SolidWorks.

Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Engineering Technology, Product Design, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field; equivalent relevant education and experience may be considered.

Three or more years of experience in mechanical design, product development, or manufacturing engineering.

Proficiency in SolidWorks, including 3D modeling and engineering drawing development.

Experience with BOMs, manufacturing documentation, revision control, and engineering changes.

Experience supporting manufacturing processes, production equipment, tooling, or fixtures.

Strong project-management, problem-solving, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills.

Experience with electromechanical products, lighting assemblies, gauges, instrumentation, or printed circuit board packaging.

Experience with 3D printing, laser equipment, prototyping, and new product introduction.

Experience troubleshooting or improving manufacturing equipment and processes.
