Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Polysomnographic Technician or Technologist to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for conducting sleep studies and diagnostic evaluations to assess patients with sleep disorders. This role requires a thorough understanding of sleep medicine, as well as the ability to perform physical examinations and monitor vital signs during testing. The Polysomnographic Technologist will work closely with patients to ensure comfort and accuracy throughout the evaluation process.
Duties
- Conduct comprehensive polysomnographic studies on patients to diagnose sleep disorders.
- Monitor and record physiological data during sleep studies, including brain waves, oxygen levels, heart rate, and respiratory effort.
- Perform physical examinations and assess vital signs prior to testing.
- Educate patients about the sleep study process and provide support throughout their experience in the sleep center.
- Maintain accurate records of patient data and ensure compliance with safety protocols and regulations.
- Stay updated on advancements in sleep medicine and related technologies.
Skills
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology related to sleep medicine and physiology.
- Familiarity with respiratory therapy techniques and equipment used in sleep studies.
- Proficient understanding of anatomy as it pertains to sleep-related disorders.
- Ability to perform diagnostic evaluations accurately and efficiently.
- Excellent communication skills for interacting with patients and healthcare professionals.
- Strong attention to detail in monitoring vital signs and recording data during procedures.
- Compassionate approach towards patient care, ensuring a comfortable environment during assessment
Requirements
- Sleep Technician License for the state of New Jersey
- BLS

- 10 hour shifts: 8pm-6am

Pay: $32.00 - $40.00 per hour
