Responsibilities
- Assist in implementing individualized treatment plans for patients with diverse behavioral health needs, including those with autism, PTSD, or developmental disabilities.
- Conduct intake assessments and gather detailed medical and behavioral histories while maintaining strict adherence to HIPAA regulations.
- Monitor vital signs and observe patient behaviors to identify changes or escalation signs that require immediate attention.
- Support crisis management efforts through de-escalation techniques and crisis intervention strategies to ensure safety for patients and staff.
- Document medical records accurately, including progress notes, behavior data collection, medication administration logs, and incident reports.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams by providing insights on patient progress and behavior management strategies based on data collection.
- Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs), including medication administration under supervision, promoting independence and dignity for patients.
Qualifications
- Experience working with children or individuals with developmental disabilities is highly preferred.
- Knowledge of applied behavior analysis (ABA), social work principles, and behavior management techniques.
- Ability to perform crisis intervention effectively in high-pressure situations.
- Familiarity with medical terminology, vital signs measurement, and medical documentation practices.
- Strong communication skills to collaborate with healthcare professionals, patients, and families while maintaining confidentiality per HIPAA standards.
- Prior experience in special education or addiction counseling is a plus but not required.

Pay: $30.00 - $40.00 per hour
