Responsibilities:
Safeguard assets and ensure accurate and timely recording of all transactions by implementing disciplines of internal audits, controls and checks across all departments.
Manage the accuracy and productivity of day-to-day activities of accounts payable, cash disbursements, invoicing/billing, customer credits and collections, payroll, perpetual inventory integrity, fixed asset records, general and entity accounting and bookkeeping, cost accounting and operational accounting.
Develop, improve and issue timely monthly financial records for CFO consultant, Executive Team, and Board of directors.
Assure financial plans are viable and consistent with organizational goals and approved FY budget.
Provide financial analysis tools to evaluate company initiatives, investments and/or special projects, programs, capital expenditures, products cost, etc., as directed by CFO consultant
Assist in managing commercial banking relationships to facilitate an appropriate credit resource under highly competitive terms.
Skills and Abilities:
Bachelor’s Degree (B.A.) from accredited college or university, master’s degree preferred; five or more years of accounting/finance related.
CPA license is preferred but not required for this position.
Experience and training or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Broad, working knowledge of hospital administration.
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, and/or government regulations.
Ability to respond effectively to sensitive finance/accounting inquiries and issues.
In-depth knowledge of all aspects of hospital finance
Experience with accounting software such as Sage, or similar platforms is preferred.
Strong interpersonal skills and a positive attitude are necessary to succeed in a team environment.
