Overview
Lotte Hotel Guam is seeking a skilled and dependable Plumber to join our Engineering team. The Plumber is responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing plumbing systems and fixtures throughout the hotel to ensure a safe, efficient, and comfortable environment for our guests and employees.
The successful candidate will perform preventive maintenance, respond to emergency plumbing repairs, and support renovation projects while maintaining the highest standards of safety, quality, and customer service.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Install, inspect, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair plumbing systems, fixtures, pipes, valves, drains, pumps, and water supply systems throughout the hotel.
- Respond promptly to plumbing maintenance requests and emergency repair situations.
- Perform preventive maintenance on plumbing systems to minimize equipment downtime and extend service life.
- Diagnose plumbing issues and implement effective repairs in a timely manner.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings related to plumbing installations and repairs.
- Assemble and install pipes, fittings, fixtures, and plumbing equipment according to applicable codes and hotel standards.
- Conduct routine inspections of plumbing systems to identify leaks, blockages, corrosion, or other maintenance needs.
- Coordinate with outside contractors when specialized plumbing repairs or projects are required.
- Work closely with other Engineering team members, including electricians, HVAC technicians, and carpenters, to complete maintenance and renovation projects.
- Ensure all plumbing work complies with local building codes, health regulations, and hotel safety standards.
- Maintain accurate maintenance records and complete work orders in a timely manner.
Education
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Technical or vocational training in plumbing preferred
Experience
- Minimum of 2 years of plumbing experience, preferably in a hotel, commercial, or industrial environment.
- Experience installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing commercial plumbing systems and fixtures.
- Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to diagnose and resolve plumbing issues efficiently.
- Working knowledge of plumbing codes, safety regulations, and industry best practices.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, plumbing diagrams, and technical drawings.
- Basic knowledge of HVAC and mechanical systems is preferred but not required.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision as well as collaboratively within a team environment.
- Excellent problem-solving, time management, and communication skills.
- Ability to respond to emergency maintenance requests and work flexible schedules, including evenings, weekends, and holidays when required.
Preferred Qualifications
- Knowledge of commercial plumbing codes and regulations.
- Experience working in hospitality or large commercial facilities.
- Basic knowledge of HVAC and mechanical systems is an asset.
