We are seeking a reliable, detail-oriented Plate Mounter to join our production team in Union City, CA. The Plate Mounter is responsible for accurately mounting printing plates according to production specifications while ensuring quality, consistency, and efficiency. The ideal candidate has excellent attention to detail, enjoys working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, and is committed to producing high-quality work.
Key Responsibilities
- Mount flexographic printing plates according to job specifications. Verify plate positioning, registration, and alignment to ensure accurate print quality. Inspect plates for damage, defects, or inconsistencies before mounting. Prepare mounting materials and maintain a clean, organized work area. Review job tickets and production requirements to ensure accuracy. Collaborate with production staff and customer service to meet production schedules. Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of mounting equipment. Follow company safety policies, quality standards, and operating procedures. Maintain accurate production records and documentation. Assist with other production duties as needed.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Previous experience in flexographic printing, prepress, plate mounting, or a related manufacturing environment is preferred. Strong attention to detail and ability to identify alignment and registration issues. Ability to read and interpret job orders and production specifications. Basic computer skills are a plus. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Strong organizational and time management skills. Dependable with a strong work ethic.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand for extended periods. Frequently lift and move materials up to 40 pounds. Manual dexterity and good hand-eye coordination. Ability to work safely around manufacturing equipment.
Schedule
- Full-time Second shift (overtime may be required based on production needs)
