Job Description Summary:
JOB SUMMARY
Reports to an IT leader and will be responsible for working with the technical lead(s) to develop the solution as designed, provide feedback based on implementation to refine the low-level design, unit test and document the implementation. This role works other team members including UX designers, product teams/scrum teams to provide update on day-to-day work, providing story level estimates, and work with the scrum master and tech lead in resolving any blockers there may be. Developer role may be assigned working on proof-of concepts that may require learning new technologies as the need may arise for OhioHealth.
Responsibilities And Duties:
70% Software development:
Code for new applications, enhancements, unit test the implementation, document the implementation, fix any bugs identified through the testing phases and migrate the applications thru different environments.
20% Collaboration
Collaborate with scrum/product teams, tech lead, enterprise architecture to clarify requirements, provide refined estimates, showcase implementations to seek feedback, and refine design
10% Application Support
Troubleshooting any production issues other than enhancements, proactive maintenance of applications such as certificate management, application credential management, validating applications thru infrastructural updates

Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree: Computer and Information Science
Additional Job Description:
- Degree, or equivalent experience (3-6 years)
- Field of Study/Experience: Computer Science, Information Systems, Mathematics, or Engineering
- Years of Experience: 2+ years of software development with bachelor’s or 3-6 years of experience
- Expertise in at least one technology stack (Java, .Net/C#, Mobile) coding, testing, and documentation
- Familiarity with agile tools such as Jira and Version control tools such as Git
- Excellent debugging, troubleshooting, and analytical skills
- Understand and contribute to end-to-end release process
- Proven track record of building and deploying enterprise class applications
- Strong problem-solving skills
SPECIALIZED KNOWLEDGE
- Web and/or mobile development experience
- Knowledge of Object-Oriented Programming principles
- Web Service/API Implementation and Integration
- Integration design patterns for data, APIs and Web Services (FHIR, Rest, SOAP)
- Expertise in developer testing tools such as Postman, SOAP UI
- Familiarity with DevOps methodology to Software delivery including Jenkin and Git
- Understanding of cloud services and deployment models
- Experience with analyzing performance issues including slow response times, high-memory consumption
- Strong knowledge of database integration, ability to write and tune queries for complex data operations
- Expertise in open-source frameworks such as React, Angular, Spring
- Strong proficiency in programming language such as C#, Java, JavaScript
- Experience working with SQL Server Database
DESIRED ATTRIBUTES
- Demonstrated experience of developing and maintaining web applications, integration solutions and batch applications
- Ability to collaborate with product teams/scrum teams, technology teams and business teams, able to show and tell implementations
- Ability to understand applications implemented by others, and enhance and maintain the applications
- Experience working in a healthcare enterprise is a plus
