Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Cleaning Technician to join our dynamic environmental services team. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and safety across various commercial facilities by performing a wide range of cleaning and floor care tasks. Responsibilities
- Perform thorough cleaning of floors using various techniques such as floor scrubbing, buffing, waxing, and refinishing to ensure a pristine appearance.
- Handle cleaning chemicals and floor cleaning agents safely, following all safety protocols and environmental guidelines.
- Operate cleaning equipment including floor buffers, polishers, vacuum cleaners, carpet extractors, and floor scrubbers efficiently.
- Conduct manual handling tasks such as lifting heavy equipment or supplies, ensuring proper technique to prevent injury.
- Maintain cleanliness of restrooms, common areas, offices, and other designated spaces through detailed janitorial practices.
- Apply floor care treatments like waxing, buffing, and refinishing to extend the lifespan of flooring surfaces.
- Provide excellent customer service by responding promptly to cleaning requests and ensuring client satisfaction with the cleanliness of the environment.
Experience
- Prior janitorial or custodial experience in a commercial setting is preferred.
- Hands-on experience with various floor care techniques including scrubbing, buffing, waxing, and carpet cleaning.
- Knowledge of cleaning procedures involving chemical agents handling and safety procedures.
- Familiarity with cleaning equipment such as floor buffers, extractors, vacuums, and related tools.
- Ability to perform manual handling tasks safely while lifting or moving heavy objects or equipment.
- Strong attention to detail with a proactive attitude toward maintaining high standards of cleanliness and safety in all areas.
- Previous experience in environmental services or facilities maintenance is a plus.

Pay: $20.00 - $30.13 per hour
