Responsibilities
- Operate POS systems accurately to process sales, returns, and exchanges while handling cash, credit cards, and mobile payments with precision.
- Provide exceptional customer service by greeting shoppers warmly, answering questions about products, and offering tailored recommendations.
- Conduct product demos to showcase features and benefits, encouraging customers to explore additional items through effective upselling strategies.
- Assist with merchandising efforts by organizing displays, stocking shelves, and ensuring the store remains clean and inviting.
- Manage inventory by stocking shelves efficiently and alerting management to low stock levels or discrepancies.
- Demonstrate excellent phone etiquette when answering inquiries or assisting customers remotely.
- Support team members by supervising new staff when needed and sharing best practices for sales techniques and customer engagement.
Experience
- Previous retail sales experience preferred, especially in grocery stores or similar fast-paced environments.
- Familiarity with POS systems and cash handling procedures is highly desirable.
- Bilingual skills are a plus to better serve diverse customer bases.
- Experience in supervising or leading small teams can enhance your candidacy.
- Strong communication skills combined with basic math proficiency are essential for accurate transactions and effective customer interactions.
- Knowledge of merchandising, stock management, and product demos will help you excel in this role.
