Position Overview
You are the master of the construction site.
This role owns the execution of the project from ground break to occupancy. You are responsible for driving the schedule, controlling quality, coordinating all subcontractors, and ensuring every detail meets the standards we demand.
This is not a passive role. You do not wait for direction—you anticipate, plan, and execute. You step in where needed, solve problems in real time, and take full accountability for the condition, progress, and outcome of your job site.
You are entrusted with company vehicles, equipment, and client relationships. That trust is earned daily through discipline, organization, and performance.
Core Responsibilities
1. Project Execution & Schedule Control
- Take full ownership of the job site from start to finish
- Work directly with the Pre-Construction Manager to initiate site work without delays
- Build, manage, and drive the critical path schedule—no surprises, no excuses
- Coordinate all trades and subcontractors to ensure work is completed on time and in sequence
- Identify schedule risks early and take immediate corrective action
Standard: The project runs on schedule because you make it run on schedule.
2. Site Readiness & Subcontractor Management
- Ensure the site is fully prepared before any subcontractor arrives
- Set clear expectations with all trades before work begins
- Hold subcontractors accountable to performance, quality, and timelines
- Address issues immediately—do not allow problems to compound
Standard: Subcontractors succeed on your job because you lead the site.
3. Quality Control
- Enforce company systems and construction standards without exception
- Inspect all work before, during, and after completion
- Reject substandard work—do not pass problems downstream
- Ensure every phase meets the level of finish expected by the company and client
Standard: If it’s not right, it doesn’t move forward.
4. Communication & Reporting
- Maintain daily logs and photo documentation in Buildertrend—no gaps
- Keep the Operations Manager informed of progress, risks, and issues in real time
Weekly Client Update (Required Every Friday):
Send a detailed update for each home to:
- Homeowner
- Lead Subcontractor
- Operations Manager
Must include:
- Work completed that week
- Work scheduled for next week
- Outstanding questions and required selections
Standard: No one should ever have to ask for a status update.
5. Client & Site Experience
- Prepare job sites for all client and prospective client visits
- Ensure the site reflects professionalism, organization, and progress
- Support the Operations Manager and/or Sales Manager during walkthroughs
Standard: Every visit reinforces confidence in our process and product.
6. Materials & Planning
- Confirm all materials are ordered, delivered, and on-site ahead of need
- Coordinate closely with the Estimator and Materials Manager
- Eliminate downtime caused by poor planning
Standard: The job never stops because of preventable material delays.
7. Problem Solving & Escalation
- Resolve job site issues immediately with subcontractors when possible
- When issues cannot be resolved on-site:
- Document clearly
- Present solutions
- Escalate to the Operations Manager without delay
Standard: Problems are identified early, communicated clearly, and solved quickly.
8. Safety & Site Conditions
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe job site at all times
- Work in coordination with the Materials Manager on material placement
- Ensure the site is always inspection-ready
Standard: There is no trade-off between speed, safety, and cleanliness.
9. Inspections & Compliance
- Schedule and manage all required inspections
- Ensure the site is fully prepared before any inspection occurs
Standard: Inspections pass the first time because you prepared for them.
10. Change Orders
- Identify and communicate all change order needs immediately
- Work with the Operations Manager to price and process changes
- Ensure execution aligns with approved scope
Standard: No unapproved or undocumented work occurs.
11. Project Closeout & Delivery
- Complete and drive all punch list items to closure
- Coordinate with the Service Manager (Heckman) on vendor and factory deficiencies
- Ensure the home is fully cleaned and ready for occupancy
- Assist in completing pre-occupancy reports
Standard: The project is delivered complete—no loose ends.
12. Continuous Improvement
- Work with the Operations Manager to improve build speed, efficiency, and execution
- Identify opportunities to eliminate waste and increase productivity
Standard: Every project is better than the last.

Pay: From $80,000.00 per year
