Responsibilities:
In collaboration with other members of the health care team, uses clinical judgment skills to recognize and treat human responses to actual or potential health problems. The Emergency Department Technician is responsible for:

Performing duties within job description and adequately showing completion of competencies set by the Emergency Department management.
- Patient care activities as delegated by the care team, documenting all cares in the EHR in a timely manner.

Assisting with department throughput including admissions and discharges.

Preparing each shift for patient readiness including stocking of materials and keeping equipment in good working order.
Qualification/Education/Requirements
Required:
-
Experience in acute care, ambulatory care, Emergency Medical Services setting and one year of recent experience in at least ONE (1) of the following to be considered for hire:
- ED Tech or in a comparable role (i.e. Medical Assistant (MA), Unlicensed Assistive Personnel (UAP), Acute Care of Ambulatory Setting, Phlebotomist)
- CNA I or CNA II

EMT-B, EMT-A, EMT-I or EMT-P
- Current enrollment in an accredited nursing school
- Current unencumbered Licensed Practical Nursing License
Preferred:
- Acute care phlebotomy skills with or without completion of certification

Orthopedic splinting experience
- Strong understanding of medical terminology
