Overview
Join our dynamic warehouse team as a Receiving Shipper, where you'll play a vital role in ensuring the smooth and efficient receipt, inspection, and processing of incoming shipments. Responsibilities
- Receive, unload, and inspect incoming shipments using RF scanners, pallet jacks, reach trucks, and forklifts to ensure accuracy and safety.
- Verify shipment contents against purchase orders and shipping documents, recording data accurately into inventory management software and ERP systems such as AS400 or MRP.
- Prepare items for storage by stocking shelves efficiently, ensuring proper packaging and labeling for easy retrieval.
- Collaborate with warehouse distribution teams to coordinate load & unload activities while adhering to trade compliance and international trade regulations.
- Maintain detailed records of all inbound shipments, updating inventory management systems regularly to ensure real-time stock accuracy.
- Assist with order picking & packing for outgoing shipments, supporting order fulfillment processes for e-commerce or wholesale clients.
- Support shipping logistics by preparing shipping labels, scheduling pickups, and ensuring compliance with safety standards using tools like RF scanners and pallet jacks.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in warehouse operations or logistics is preferred, with familiarity using warehouse management systems (WMS), inventory management software, and ERP platforms such as AS400 or MRP.
- Ability to perform basic math calculations accurately for inventory counts and shipment documentation.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications for data entry and reporting purposes.
- Valid certification for operating forklifts, reach trucks, or pallet jacks is highly desirable.
- Strong understanding of shipping & receiving procedures, order picking & packing, and stock management best practices.
- Excellent organizational skills with keen attention to detail to ensure accuracy in inventory records.
- Customer service mindset to communicate effectively with team members and support overall warehouse operations.
