Our name comes from the Latin word for truth — and that commitment to honest, rigorous, ethically grounded research shapes everything we do, including how we treat our team and our patients.
The Role
We're looking for a part-time Medical Assistant to join our clinical research team. You'll work directly with study participants and our clinical staff to support the day-to-day operations of our trials, ensuring every visit is conducted with accuracy, care, and attention to protocol.

- Conduct EKGs/ECGs and other diagnostic procedures as required by study protocols
- Take and record vital signs (blood pressure, heart rate, temperature, weight, height, etc.)
- Prepare patients for study visits and assist with study procedures
- Maintain accurate, timely documentation in source documents and study charts
- Process, label, and handle specimens according to protocol and chain-of-custody requirements
- Assist with general clinic operations: room setup, equipment maintenance, supply inventory
- Support the clinical team with patient flow and scheduling during visit days
- Follow Good Clinical Practice (GCP) and all applicable regulatory and safety guidelines
What You'll Bring
- Current Medical Assistant certification/registration (CMA, RMA, or equivalent)
- Phlebotomy experience required — minimum of 50 successful blood draws
- Proven experience performing EKGs
- Comfort taking vital signs and working directly with patients
- Strong attention to detail and documentation skills
- Clinical experience required — prior clinical research experience is a plus, but not required; we provide training on GCP and study-specific procedures
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work well in a small, collaborative team environment
- Strong communication skills and a patient-first mindset
Why Veritas
- Be part of a research site built on integrity, transparency, and patient-centered care
